Numerical Simulation and Experimental Study on Sediment Wear of Fixed Guide Vanes of Hydraulic Turbines in Muddy River Based on Discrete Phase Model

The erosion of the fixed guide vane a hydraulic turbine by sandy water is influenced not only flow velocity and mud concentration but also direction speed over surface. This study aims to investigate erosive effect sediment-laden on specific type turbine’s vane, validate efficacy discrete phase model (DPM) in simulating wear identify critical areas its To achieve these objectives, DPM are employed conduct numerical simulations vane.
